Step into our creative workspace and enjoy a dedicated soap-making session—without the setup or the cleanup! Open Studio is the perfect opportunity for experienced soap makers to jump right in, get the soap made, and not mess up their own kitchen! We’ll have the basic GREENCASTLE ORIGINAL soap recipe prepped and ready, you bring your skills and creativity, and together we keep the shop buzzing with beautiful batches.

Important: Open Studio is NOT a class. There is no instruction, guidance, or teaching provided during these sessions. Participants must already understand the fundamentals of cold process soap making and be comfortable working independently. You don’t have to be an expert, but you do need to know the basics before attending.

What to Expect

• Reserve the number of molds you’d like to make.
• Choose your *fragrance when you arrive—or bring your own favorite scent.
• We’re happy to help you select a SIMPLE color scheme, then you're off and running!
• Each 7LB portion of the pot yields 18-20 bars of handcrafted soap.
• Only 4 portions are available per day, keeping the space relaxed and creative.

*Fragrance and other additives may be purchased at the time of the Open Studio. Maker's Apothecary will provide ONE color to add to your soap. Additional colors or additives are available for an additional fee. If you are wishing to do a complicated design please call, or drop by, ahead of time to discuss. We are happy to accommodate complex designs but need to make sure we are adequately prepared.

Registration & Policies

Prior registration is required.

If you need to reschedule, please call the shop as soon as possible. We’re happy to move your session with 24 hours’ notice. Fees are non-refundable, and sessions not rescheduled at least 24 hours before the start time will unfortunately be forfeited.
