This class will take your digital camera photography to a higher level of understanding the equipment. You will learn advanced settings and techniques to improve and capture the images you desire.
The class will examine:
The relationship between exposure, ISO, and exposure compensation.
Creative use of white balance.
How color space and file types affects web postings and print making.
How and when to use flash creatively, studio photography,
Night photography, moon and milky way exposures.
The class will explore advanced functions like: Bracketing, HDR photography, focus settings and Histograms.
You will learn about lens and filter options and how they work for different styles of photography.
Finally you will learn some basics in image editing and organization through computer programs.
Please show up with your camera ready to go: battery charged, memory card in and camera manual in tow.
Roger concentrates on the total photo experience- what he calls the “Zen of Photography”. How to capture the beauty, emotion or humor that makes up your everyday life. The photo process includes knowledge of your camera, finding interesting subjects and lighting. Learn how to train your mind to find and frame the perfect photo.
The class registration fee will show as TicketGoat on your bank statement. The instructor will have a list of names, so tickets are not necessary.
- Washington State law (ESSB 5814) now requires that certain services be taxed when sold. Art classes fall under this new law and we are required to charge sales tax on all in-person and online classes.
- Refunds or class credit will not be issued for missed classes.
- Refunds will only be issued in the event of a class cancellation by the Spokane Art School.
- Preregistration is required for all classes. Instructors can not take payments.
- Online registration closes 48 hours before the class begins.
- Classes with fewer than three registrations will be cancelled and the registration fee will be refunded.
