More About This Event
"Once Upon a Mattress" is a comedic musical, a reimagining of the fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea." It centers on Princess Winnifred, who is sent to prove her princess-like sensitivity by sleeping on a bed with a pea hidden beneath a stack of mattresses. The musical satirizes fairytale tropes and follows Winnifred's journey to win over Prince Dauntless, who is under his mother's (Queen Aggravain's) spell to avoid marriage.
