Using the direct method, you'll embed your own design into thinset on a metal garden spade and a 4" wood piece with a ready-to-hang sawtooth hanger. Dig into creativity with our Spades & Affirmations mosaic class! In this fun and relaxing 3-hour workshop, you'll craft two beautiful, personalized pieces to display in your home or garden.
Each student receives a metal garden spade and a 4" wood plaque fitted with a sawtooth hanger — both ready for your mosaic design. Using the direct method, you'll arrange and embed your chosen mosaic pieces directly into thinset, creating a design that's uniquely yours. Your affirmation plaque is ready to hang right out of class, and your spade makes a stunning decorative garden accent.
You'll take both pieces home to dry and cure for 48 hours. Once set, simply finish them with your choice of a sparkling glitter sealer or a classic clear sealer for a beautiful, lasting result.
No experience necessary — all skill levels are welcome! Everything you need is provided, from the mosaic materials to the thinset and tools.
